O falecimento do papa emérito Bento XVI ocasionou um debate em torno de sua atuação no exercício primado petrino. Esta nota pretende apenas destacar a “esquecida profecia sobre o futuro da Igreja” feita por ele há quarenta anos quando era professor teologia, e discurso abertura Conferência Aparecida 13/5/2007, agora como XVI. Os dois textos se completam ao mesmo tempo demonstram complexidade pensamento deste discípulo Jesus teólogo-papa.
